Beth Aldridge, founder of For Her Information, says being specific is key. If you focus on what is important to you and have specific goals you can achieve your goals. With a dream of one day starting a television show about empowering women she headed out to a television show conference in Las Vegas and started networking. As Kaira Sturdivant Rouda, President of Real living and author of Real You Incorporated: 8 Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs, would say, she put her passions into action. As a result of her networking and hours of hard work, her show was picked up and syndicated by PBS. After success with her show, a magazine was born and in an effort to be “green” the print magazine went online. And years later, in an effort to stick with her dream and slowing her life down, she turned the TV show into a radio show. Now, while maintaining her businesses, Aldridge enjoys empowering women. To help figure out what your goals are Aldridge suggests just slowing down. Allow time to take in your surroundings and be in the moment. Rouda states that once you integrate your passions into your life doors will open. Paying attention to the shows you watch and the magazines and book you take on vacation are also another way of helping you realize what you love.
